Billawar, Nov 11: Manohar lal Sharma senior Congress Leader, former minister and general secretary PCC today convened a public meeting in remote area at Morha Dhallian village and panchayat Larhi block Duggain , sub div Billawar of Distt Kathua in which people of Larhi, Najote, Dhanu Parole and Kohag of block and Niabat Duggain participated and apprised Sharma about their hardships and callous attitude of the present coalition government and their representatives as such nobody bothered to listen to their grievances and day to day problems.
Sharma was stunned to know and see their hardships as the people are craving for the basic amenities deprived of due to the callous attitude of government and administration. Such as the condition of roads, Mandli to kohag , Kohag to Kadetar via Dhallian and Tilla to Bather are in such a bad condition that there is every apprehension that some worst untoward could be happen.
The students of these areas went to high secondary school Kohag and Degree Collage Billawar are always at a high risk due to the worst condition of the road and nobody is bothered to upkeep even temporary restoration for making the road traffic able even after a hue and cry made by the people of area.
Sharma was also apprised by the sarpances namely Chuni lal Verma, Tara Chand Padotra, senior citizen Chandu Ram of Najote, Deep Raj social worker of Najote and Ramal Singh retd. ZEO of Kadetar Larhi that the schemes which was initiated by Sharma while in previous government Namely Bridge at Kohag to Dallian road , Bridge over Ujh river at Kalna (Dhanu Parole) , Bather to Najote road, Bather Bridge, construction of receiving power station at Kadetar Larhi and Kadetar to Duggain road remained in same position as left over after change of government as well most of these works got completed upto 50 to 60 % but after the change of government not a single inch of road and bridges were built by the present dispensation.
Sharma accused BJP PDP government for their wrong and anti people policies particularly the price rise and reducing the quota of grains and sugar as well steep hike in rates of essential commodities and the reducing of subsidiary on the LPG which further hike the rates of LPG. Similar is the position of petroleum products which are after reduce in Crude price in international market is sky rocketing in India.
He further accused government for ruining the education system at grass root level built by previous UPA government particularly in far flung and remote areas by closing the primary schools and clubbing of middle schools without keeping in view the strength as well as the distance of the schools which is totally against the national educational program Sarv Shiksha Abhiyaan.
He said it is unfortunate that inspite of opening new schools in uncovered area the present government is closing the well established school as such the school upgraded in 2013-14 upto high school and high secondary are still waiting to make functional and BJP is doing politics over the issue of upgradation by using delay tactics thus playing with the future of new generation.
Sharma assured the public to stand firmly in every issue with them being a responsible member of opposition political party who stands always and fight for the cause of people. |
