While working for CID, he passes on info to other officer | A mole in CID | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 11: There is a mole in the CID wing of police in Jammu district. While he is supposed to keep secret all the information, which he gathers from his field staff or which flows to him from other sources, he shares it with a senior officer of executive police on regular basis. This is a case of 'professional misconduct'. After his posting in CID some time back, the Inspector was allotted Jammu district. Before his transfer, he was posted in Jammu where he headed two to three police stations as their SHO. "Being in CID, all the information about Jammu district flows to him. He shares this information with the senior officer every evening. He even updates the officer about day-to-day developments in different police stations, ranging from all sorts of developments in the thanas to complaints against SHOs and junior staff, including Munshis," police sources said. On the basis of these CID reports, the senior officer had taken action against the junior staff and even ordered the transfer of some of them, the sources added. As the 'CID' reports were also not good about two to three SHOs, they were also likely to be shifted and attached with DPL, sources informed. Sources alleged that the Inspector was also almost a regular visitor to the office of the senior officer. |
