Friday politics becomes headache for common man | Kashmir Unrest | | Separatists look for dead bodies to keep pot boiling
Early Times Report srinagar, Nov 11: Friday in Kashmir has become the most difficult day for the people as separatists leave no stone unturned on this day to foment trouble and create confusion across the Valley. They (separatists) try to take the advantage of the congregation prayers, which are offered in different mosques across the Valley. Clashes breaking out after the Friday prayers have become a routine and these have intensified since the day present unrest has broken out in Kashmir. Sources told Early Times that on every Fridayhenchmen of separatists orchestrate street protests soon after the congregation prayers are over. The people who come to offer Friday prayers in mosques are used as shields and pushed before the security force personnel as canon- fodder. The miscreants try their best to ensure that some untoward incident takes place. Their only aim on Friday seems to ensure a casualty and they desperately search for dead bodies on Friday so that they can keep the pot-boiling. A Kashmir watcher said, "People who used to visit big mosques to offer prayers on Friday these days prefer to visit the mosques which are nearby to their homes. The Friday is considered as auspicious day for Muslims but these separatists have turned this day into one of the most difficult days for the people." An analyst while referring to the statement of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said, "Everyone in Kashmir agrees with the Chief Minister thatFriday is an auspicious day for Muslims but separatists in Kashmir wait for Friday to foment trouble and create war like situation on streets of Kashmir on this day." He said, "Hurriyat dove Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has been raising hue and cry over Friday prayers not being allowed at Jamia Masjid in old city. Every Friday he calls for Jamia Masjid chalo forcing authorities to impose curfew and restrictions in old city as government wants to save the lives of people." A politician said, "It's unfortunate that separatists don't leave single opportunity to play politics even on the days which have been declared auspicious for Muslims. For the Hurriyat dove Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Friday comes as an opportunity for a photo session as he steps out of his residence he is arrested and photo journalists capture his images which are flashed all over the world. It's high time that separatists should stop playing the victim card and allow people to offer Friday prayers in mosques without any fear and disruption." |
