Govt teachers running ration depots ,people suffer | | | Rajesh Tandon Early Times Report
Poonch, Nov 11: Fatehpur village of Mandi tehsil is faced with the lack of basic necessities. Locals expressed their resentment over local politics and negligence of administration and said administration is well aware of the people's problems, but due to unknown reasons it doesn't take any initiative in this regard. People said there a approachable father of four teachers, who has a licence of CA&PD department. Locals said the tactful man is an old aged and haven't health to run a ration store. They said in his absence for last ten years his two (teachers) sons are running the ration store and quite often remains absent from their school duty. Locals said the teachers (store keepers) open the sale depot only one or two days in a month, resulting many poor having financial problems can't take their ration in time. The locals informed Early Times that the said store keeper is providing ration for more than eight hundred card holders, which is impossible for them as they are professionally teachers and always try to erode the ration as soon as possible. They said "one buys full bag of rice or floor/wheat" while rest are left ignored. They through media appealed to deputy commissioner Poonch Mohammed Harun Malik to intervene in the matter personally and provide a government dealer for Fatehpur village. In this regard taking official comments of assistant director CA&PD Naseeb Ahmed, he assured the people that after complete verification the license may be cancelled. People further appealed to Chief Education Officer Poonch Lal Hussain to look into how the teachers who are doing private jobs are doing the business. |
