Srinagar, Dec 10 : Air traffic from Srinagar International Airport resumed today after remaining suspended due to poor visibility yesterday, when only three flights could operate. The visibility is very good and two flights operated so far today from the airport, an official of the airport told . He said after three flights, the visibility become very poor at the airport yesterday forcing cancellation of all flights. So far, the visibility is very good and flights are operating normally, he said, adding that situation will be reviewed as per weather conditions as there is forecast for rain or snow later in the day in the Kashmir valley. Air traffic from the only airport in the Kashmir valley was disrupted several times this winter due to poor visibility. A group of MPs from Jammu and Kashmir had recently met central leaders urging them to install latest system at Srinagar airport so that flights could operate even during poor visibility. |
