Early Times Report

Jammu Dec 10: Lambasting former Chief Minister and President National Conference Dr Farooq Abdullah for his mischievous statement lending direct support to Hurriyat, Panun Kashmir today said the Dr Abdullah is responsible for mess in valley and his recent utterances have exposed his double standards.
In a press statement Panun Kashmir Convenor Ravinder Jalali today reminded Dr Abdullah that the Kashmir problem is not a political problem as projected by him and Hurriyat but is a communal problem based on the extension of two nation theory. Jalali stated that Abdullahs by giving such flaring statements are only toeing the same line.
Pnnun Kahmir leader Jalali stated Abdullahs must remember that NC has lost its relevance in Kashmir affairs the day his father Sheikh Abdullah accepted the Chief Ministership in 1975.
"Abdullahs must remember that J&K became part of India on 26th October 1947 when Maharaja Shri Hari Singh, the then Ruler of Jammu & Kashmir State, in the exercise of his Sovereignty over the said State executed the Instrument of Accession and the same was accepted by Governor General of India. Mountbatten on 27th Oct. 1947, he added.
Panun leader further said, "The fact is that Kashmir acceded legally and constitutionally to the Dominion of India. Both the Maharaja and the people of Jammu &Kashmir requested the Government of India to accept our accession which has been accepted."
He also said that the Abdullahs have taken people of state for ride for the last six decades on the false pretext of autonomy and now can no longer succeed in their nefarious designs.
