Rajouri: Teachers busy in tuition centers, admin silent | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Dec 10: In brazen violation of the norms, government schools' teachers here are busy holding private tuition while the authorities concerned are silent over the issue. A delegation of students of some government schools in areas like Sunderbani and Nowshera complained that the teachers don't teach them properly as they are always in a hurry to rush to tuition centers. "We are not taught properly in classrooms as the teachers concentrate more on their private tuition centres. We are poor and cannot afford to pay the fee at the private centers," the students said. That said even though the matter was brought into the notice of Chief Education Officer and the Zonal Education Officers, they did not pay attention to their complaints. "It clearly indicates that the officials are hand in glove with teachers indulging in private tuition," the students said. The aggrieved students including Pawan Kumar, Rajesh Sharma, Ankit Kumar and Sahil Gupta said: "The only option for us to complete the syllabus is to pay fee to our teachers at their private tuition centers, but that is something we cannot afford because these government school teachers charge atleast Rs 2000 per candidate," the students said. The students have appealed Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh to look into the matter. |
