Akhnoor, Dec 10: Taking a strong notice of the alleged lackadaisical approach of revenue officers and officials of Tehsil, Akhnoor, in executing their official duties, Sunaina Sharma, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Akhnoor paid surprised visit to Tehsil office Akhnoor. Complaints have been pouring in alleging that lackadaisical approach of revenue officers and officials of Tehsil, Akhnoor is affecting ongoing documentation process of PoK refugees for settlement payment. SDM Akhnoor also listened to the grievances of the applicants, patiently and assured them for speedy disposal of their pending works and appealed them not to give any type of enticement in lieu of their works in any government office. She also said one should contact immediately to the SDM Akhnoor or Tehsildar Akhnoor, if any officer/official asks for the favour in return to do his official job. In this regard, pamphlets were pasted in and outside of Tehsil complex. Further, directions were issued to Tehsildar, Akhnoor and Naib Tehsildar Akhnoor to remain present at their respective offices for speedy disposal of pending works. Also additional staff has been deployed in Tehsil office Akhnoor for the smooth functioning of the office work. SDM AKhnoor Ms Sharma also assured to the public that PRC files shall be processed timely and camps shall be organised at various places of the Sub Division Akhnoor. |
