Kathua, Dec 10: The Excise Department Jammu has tightened its noose on violators of the various provisions of the J&K Excise Act in entire Jammu division. Under the active supervision of the Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Mohammed Shahid Saleem, the Excise Team Kathua led by Arun Kumar inspector Excise under the command of Excise and Taxation Officer, Excise Range Kathua, Sandeep Gupta raided the Chartyala, Dhabwal and Jakhbhardamba areas of Kathua district to arrest the menace of illicit distillation of liquor. In the process more than 600 kilograms of Lahan recovered from stateland which was later destroyed by the team on spot. |
