Design orientation workshop for Jr college students organized 12/10/2016 11:25:47 PM Early Times Report kishtwar, Dec 10: As an initiative for upliftment of the populace with the prime focus being to nurture the talent of the students & empower the youth of Kishtwar District and enable them to participate in the development & program synchronous with the national mainstream, 8 RR today organized Design Orientation workshop for Junior college students at Tourist Reception Center Kishtwar in which more than 50/students participate. Looking at the current need for Designers in various domains, Kishtwar based 8 Rashtriya Rifles organised "Design Orientation Workshop" which aims to introduce various aspects of designing, its application and use in day to day lives of designing. The Indian Army called upon Practising Architect and Professors Mangesh Jadhav and Ms Bhakti Panchal who came all the way from Maharashtra to conduct design workshop for the students of Chenab valley. The event witnessed active participation of students of Junior College and ITI Kishtwar which was also attended by Army officials, officals of District administration, various School Principals and educational staff. A total of 50 students have participated in the workshop wherein the experts on the subject Mangesh Jadhav and Ms Bhakti Panchal oriented the students and made them aware about various Design fields like Architecture Design, Interior Design, Product Design, Communication Design, Furniture Design, Ceramic Design, Textile Design, etc. The Workshop started at 1000 Hr with presentation on the subject followed by practical classes till 1500 Hr. This goodwill gesture by both the Professionals for the students of Chenab Valley was very well appreciated and applauded by students, teachers and administrative officials.
