Jammu, Dec 12: Awareness campaign on the demonetization initiative of Government of India is being undertaken by the Sewa-II Power Station for the welfare of the people living in remote & poorly connected neighbouring regions of the Power Station in the state of J&K. Many hoarding, billboards & banners displaying various aspects of the demonetization programmers as well as various initiatives by Govt. of India to promote the culture of cashless transactions in India are being explained and popularized by the Power Station. All workmen of the project were provided Rs. 10,000 in cash as a measure to avoid heavy rush on the banks. Bikram Singh, Chief Engineer (I/C) said, "All of us should our full support to the Government in its efforts in eliminating the scrooge of black money from our country. Corruption and accumulation of black money by few people of the country adversely impact the lives of millions of the poor people of our country." While promoting the positives of digitisation outside, NHPC too has gradually transformed itself in completely digitised organisation with almost all project located across the length & breadth of the country are fully connected through internet and all official works, communications and facilities like leaves, salaries, official documentations, tendering processes etc. are being done online." |
