BJP youth leader at loggerheads with party Minister over posting of XEn 12/12/2016 11:20:57 PM Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report Kishtwar, Dec 12: A youth leader of ruling BJP has launched a scathing attack on a Minister for appointing a "tainted" officer as Executive Engineer in Kishtwar and set a deadline of one week to revoke the order or face protest. In a statement Rocky Goswami, former State Secretary Bhartiya Janta Party Yuva Morcha (BJYM) alleged that the government had been posting tainted officers as heads of the department. He said, the officer was posted in Kishtwar during previous regime and was transferred from Kishtwar after BJP and PDP held protest against him for promoting corrupt practices in the department. The youth leader alleged that the erring officer was involved in filing FIR against the active members of BJP and took the help of police to lathicharge on the poor people who were demanding water. He said that the government instead of probing his role in multi crore scandal wherein the said officer withdrew carriage charges @1500-2000% above the rates fixed in government schedule, had posted him at prime position. He said that the said officer without inviting any tender allotted works to the tune of several lakhs to the influential person and was also involved in execution of works for construction of water uplifting scheme from HRT Kishtwar through his blue eyed. He urged upon the party leadership to look into the issue as posting of the said official at Kishtwar had created lot of resentment among the youth. He reiterated that in case the party leadership failed to take notice of the activities of the party Ministers who were openly patronizing corrupt officials, they will be left with no other option but to launch an agitation against them.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
