J&K NCP celebrates its national president Sharad Pawar's 76th birthday 12/12/2016 10:56:37 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 12: State NCP under the chairmanship of Former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh NCP Chief J&K state celebrated the 76th Birthday of NCP Founder and National President Sh Sharad Pawar here at Jammu in a simple but impressive occasion. While addressing the media persons, state president NCP and former minister Thakur Randhir Singh recalled his association with party president Sharad Pawar and termed him most dynamic and successful national leader who was four times most successful chief minister of Maharshtra, the Defence minister of the country first to visit Siachen Glacier. Singh added that Mr Pawar has contributed a lot at the national level who was the first Agriculture, Food and Consumer Affairs Minister has brought the loan waiver scheme and also brought the Horticulture commodities under organized sector for the first time in the country under Confederation of Indian Horticulture (CIH) and became first to introduce drip irrigation system in horticulture. State NCP president Mr Singh also recalled Mr Pawar's initiative to reserve engineering seats in the private colleges of Maharashtra for the children of Kashmiri migrants, children's of Military and paramilitary forces posted in J&K also for the children of J&K police and Border areas which later was followed by other states.
