| Inadvertent decisions made SSB defunct: Mehran | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 12: State Secretary of National Students Union of India (NSUI) Mehran Anjum Mir today lambasted the Jammu & Kashmir government for making intentionally defunct state Services Selection Board by number of inadvertent decisions.
Mehran described Fast Track recruitment Policy of J&K Govt sheer joke to the job aspirants of this mountainous state.
Mehran said that the stating further that it has became motive & slogan of thousands of aspirants for different posts of SSB that to re-consider the posting of Shabir Ahmed Raina as Secretary Services selection Board, because as per the aspirants he was the officer who was really serious towards the issues of unemployed section of this state and was well competent to perform the responsibilities of the post of Secretary SSB quite satisfaction of the not only Seniors but even aspirants of the SSB.
Mehran Said that after the transfer of Raina from the JKSSB, the Board is becoming totally paralysed as around two months has been passed, new Secretary has not been able to release the selection lists more than one hundred which were already complied by Raina and new secretary has to only upload the such lists on the Board's website after getting signatures of the Chairperson.
Raina was the capable of releasing the selection lists more than 300 per week as it is pertinent to mention here that there are selection lists pending which are for thousands of posts.
Also Mehran said that It is the matter of so disappointing that the new secretary is not taking a serious view towards the pendent of lists as almost 95% selection lists were compiled by the then Secretary Raina sb but due to the lazy & inefficient attitude of new Chairperson and secretary lists are unnecessary delayed.
Further Mehran said that there was the a big burden on the Board like Conducting of written examinations, Declaration of Results, Conducting of interviews ,,releasing of lists, disposing the objection/Claims of the candidates after the declaration of results, which burden was eased by the Raina, whereas new officers of the Board are not able to release the lists which are completed by Mr. Raina.
Mehran said that the attitude of Raina was so kind and sympathetic with the candidates that on getting any phone call from any candidate at any time he was replying politely by giving solution of the problems, even there are some candidates who were making calls to his Mobile at wee hours whereas new Chairperson and secretary do not bother to pick the phone and if by fault receiving the call they started misbehaving the candidates.
Mehran also said that the aspirants of the SSB are requesting the Government in general and Hon'ble Chief Minister in particular to issue re-posting order of Mr.Raina as Secretary SSB, if they really wish to do some good for the unemployed of the state and want to maintain the credibility of the SSB.Beside to clear log under Fast Track recruitment. |
