GDC Kishtwar organizes awareness programme | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Dec 14: To strengthen and promote cashless economy in the region Government Degree College Kishtwar today organized a workshop on the theme "Cashless Economy and Emerging India". The workshop was held under the supervision and guidance of Principal Dr Shafqat Rafiqui . The aim of the programme was to disseminate knowledge among the students and employees of the college about the benefits of cashless transaction which is hassle free, reduces crime and helps in curbing the menace of corruption and black money. About 60 students were selected and they would be trained by master trainers from different banks. These trained students will then launch this awareness campaign in the nook and corner of district Kishtwar. The programme was conducted by NSS coordinator, Prof. Faisal Mushtaq Kitchloo. On the occasion, two speakers from J&K bank and State Bank Kishtwar, Gulzar Ahmed and Ashok Kumar were also invited by college authorities for delivering lecture on the theme 'cashless trasaction and emerging society", college officials confirmed. On the occasion, the speakers threw light on the cashless economy trasnction process in emerging Indian societies and said that India is leading towards the progress and development. They said that Prime Minister, Narinder Modi's bold step of demonitisation of currency has facilitated the poor Indians to establish their presence in competitive world, they said and adding that now cashless transction would curb the corruption and blackmarketing across the nation, they added. |
