Due to party ministers' pressure BJP leaders not opposing decision | Compensation to Burhan's family: | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 14: State Government has taken a very controversial decision by announcing compensation for eliminated Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani's older brother, who was killed by the security forces in the month of April this year. By announcing this compensation the State Government has vindicated separatists' allegation that Burhan Wani's brother was killed in enacted encounter but silence of BJP-the champion of nation cause in J&K, on this issue has raised many eye-brows. None of the BJP minister or leader has uttered even a single word against this decision of the state government. Credible sources in the corridors of power said that after KPS controversy in the last cabinet meeting on Friday, a fear has gripped BJP ministers and their families that government would be in danger if PDP was not allowed to pursue its own policies in the coalition. "After Friday's cabinet, BJP ministers have become more defensive due to pressure from their family members who are enjoying absolute power", sources said and added that wife minister of a BJP minister has warned party leaders against take any stand against PDP in the government. Credible sources said that issue to announce compensation for Burhan Wani's family was discussed at party office today and some leaders were ready to issue a hard-hitting statement but due to fear of that minister's wife no leader dared to speak the truth. All the leaders were convinced that compensation to Burhan Wani's family would demoralized nationalist people as well as forcing fighting Pakistan sponsored proxy war in J&K but they could not oppose it due to pressure from ministers' families. Even some RSS leaders don't have guts to counter her argument due to her direct approach with senior Sangh functionaries. The Wani family will get Rs 4 lakh and a government job from the state. |
