Gullible students exploited by Education mafia

Early Times Report

Udhampur, Dec 14: In number of subsequent orders, notifications & SRO's Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir is failed to curve down the menace of all those private schools functioning illegally without providing healthy infrastructure to the students studying in these private schools.
As per details there are 2753 private schools functioning in Jammu province. Out of these 2753 schools, 1067 schools are functioning at Primary level, 868 at middle level, 556 at high & 262 at Higher Secondary level.
More than 75% of Private schools are granted recognition up to primary & middle standard. It is unfortunate for all those students who seek admission unknowingly about the recognition in the nearby private school which is permitted or recognized upto 5th or 8th std.
Although these schools have no authority to continue higher classes beyond the recognition or permission they are granted for, but the students who are studying in these schools are forced to continue their studies up to high & higher classes by the school owners without providing healthy infrastructure to these students.
These school owners are continuing this practice since decades by fixing a ratio 60:40 with the owner of those schools which are recognized up 10th & 12th std with the support of Education department & Board authorities as done in case of ETT courses.
This type of daring practice is done by the education mafia which is operated by the govt. employees mostly lecturers, clerks, teachers etc. who are running private schools.
As per report a private school functioning at Udhampur recognized upto 8th standard is running its classes' upto 10th std. by clubbing its students to a school functioning in Jammu District.
On the other hand a private school functioning at Hiranager recognized upto 5th standard with permission to run classes 8th is running classes' upto 10th std. by clubbing its students to a school functioning in Jammu or other District.
All students who are unknowingly become a part of these illegal & unauthorized schools are compelled to appear by the BOSE authorities in Jammu or other area which may by 30 to 50 kms away from their school in which they have been admitted.
Few days back Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir has realized that number of student in the Govt. schools are declining day by day. The reason come to know by our resources that the Govt. employee especially the employee of education department get themselves adjusted in the area where they have established their own private schools. This is all done with the proper understanding with the concerned ZEO's, CEO's & all concerned.
Despite of making hollow slogans Govt. should take effective steps to curve this menace by transferring all those propertiers / owners of private schools who are working as teachers, lectures, clerks in education & other departments. Govt. should launch a campaign by constituting a squad to aware the innocents who are exploited by this education mafia as it has seen in Udhampur in which fate of twelve students of class 10th was kept in dark by the Private School owner for which none of the authority has taken responsibility / action against the culprit till date.
