| Udhampur link roads most deplorable calling Govt’s attention | | |  Ashwani Sharma

Udhampur, Dec 14: Condition of many link roads in district Udhampur is so miserable that even vehicles avoid them, what to say of poor pedestrians of the area.
For example the link road of Manwal , Thalora to Tajoor Tehsil Majalta and Distt Udhampur conditions are totally bad .
Dharam Singh Sarpanch Satrari , Nirmal Keaser , Balwant Singh, Bodh Raj and other villagers including ladies told Early Times that the total length of this road is 4 km approximately from the Manwal to Tajoor and thousands of population live there but the condition of the road are so bad .
They also said that sometimes matador owners avoid driving their vehicles while people of the area face the problems of transport facilities but concerning department do not look into matter.
Balwant Singh, another local resident of the area said that we have many times complained to the concerning department but senior officer of concerning department said that we do not have any types of funds for repairing the same road .
He also said that this road which had been completed upto black topping under the department of rural and engineering wing (R&EW) some years gro and after the work completed (R&EW) PMGSY took over the same road from the (R&EW)but within three years it was totally damaged due to the low quality of material which had been used for completing the road work When contacted XEn PMGSY Ramnager Mohit Mahajan said that we have no type of funds for repairing the same road and we have also written many letters to the PWD department to take over the same road due to the shortage of funds. |
