Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 14: In order to check the readiness and alertness of troops especially its response time in the event of a terror attack, the Jammu police conducted a mock drill near Swarn Theatre Gole Market here today. SSP Jammu Sunil Gupta, who supervised the mock drill of a terrorist attack at Swarn Theatre, Gole Market Jammu, said that it was decided to conduct a mock drill to test the response time and other factors in the event of any untoward incident. SSP Jammu further said that today as per drill instructions soon after information, the troops from Police Station Gandhi Nagar under the command of Inspector Bishnesh Kumar, SHO Gandhi Nagar rushed to the spot and laid the outer cordon. "Thereafter troops of SOG under the command of Sheikh Tahir DySP (Ops) Jammu conducted intensive search of the building. Meanwhile all nearby SHO's and I/CPPs raised special nakas and seized all cut off points leading for its venue, SSP added. "The main motive behind such drills is to improve the response time and test the alertness and preparedness of the police personnel, he said, adding, "it has been evident that the first response time of the forces has improved." He said that the whole operation was supervised by SDPO City South Sachin Gupta and SP City South Sahazad Ahmed Salaria. |
