JAMMU, Mar 18: The tall claims of the new PDP-BJP dispensation to bring the probity in public life and to get rid of corrupt elements have remained confined to papers only, as some officers who are involved in corruption cases were given plum postings during recent administrative reshuffle.
Sources told Early Times the government handpicking the officers, who were recommended by someone or the other, and their track record being ignored has put a big question mark over the slogan of change which was raised by PDP and BJP during election campaigning.
Just a few days before the government overhauled the administration the Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Dr Nirmal Singh, while reacting to a circular issued by General Administration Department about state flag, claimed that a conspiracy is being hatched within the administration against the coalition Government.
