Why is party, RSS silent over nomenclature of two prime AIR stations in J&K…? | BJP's doublespeak, hollow stand on Art 370 | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 4: BJP's tongue twisting politics on Article 370 is now too widely known. From its die hard approach to go slow tactics, the issue has seen roller coaster rides on the turbulent waters of politics in J&K. Close to its heart and soul of politics, the Article has also exposed BJP's face and its strategy which sounds hollow and doublespeak on many counts. There are many facets in the State itself on which BJP has maintained silence and failed to correct the things even after coming to power.
Notwithstanding its understanding with PDP under agenda of alliance to keep the issue under the carpet for some time, Article 370 continues to be the core issue and its removal a key political slogan for both BJP and RSS. Both harp on it occasionally as a rhetoric, knowing well it is a far fetched goal having political, legal and constitutional ramifications. However, despite being in power both at centre as well as in the State, they are unexplainably silent over continuance of a nomenclature with two prime stations of AIR-Radio Kashmir Srinagar and Radio Kashmi...

Early Times Report
srinagar, Sept 4: Tall claims of Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department Minister Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari that the Government has sufficient stock of bitumen to macadamize the roads fell flat as there continues to go through a shortage of material and that too when time is running out for macadamization of roads in Kashmir.
Following the 'incompetence' and 'over confidence' of Bukhari, the State Government in its last cabinet meeting had approved for the procurement of 6500 metric tonnes (MTS) of bitumen from the open market. The cabinet decision was virtually a 'slap' on the face of R&B Minister who seems to be busy in building 'castles' when it comes...

| | If correct, it's a great decision | 'Great wall along LoC' | |
Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 4: On Wednesday, a report in a section of media suggested that New Delhi was busy in constructing an embankment (high wall) along the Line of Control (LoC). If correct, it augurs well for the territorial integrity of India, as the construction of high wall along the LoC would defeat the Pakistani designs to export terror to Jammu & Kashmir and heighten subversive activities in the State. Since Pakistan is India's hostile neighbour having its evil eyes fixed on Jammu & Kashmir and the Indus waters and since Pakistan in collaboration of Lashkar-e-Toiba and similar other terror outfits has been running terrorist training camps in PoJK, it will be only desirabl...
| | Karan makes right noise, bats for talks with Pak | Opposing war-like rhetoric | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 4: One may or may not endorse senior Congress leader and Member of Rajya Sabha Karan Singh’s suggestion that India, like Pakistan, is also making provocative statements or taking recourse to war-like rhetoric, but one cannot disagree with him when he says India needs to talk to Pakistan as half of the Jammu & Kashmir territory has been under the illegal occupation of Pakistan since 1947-1948.
"In my personal opinion, while fully safeguarding national security, I do not see why we should not talk with Pakistan on all outstanding issues including Jammu and Kashmir. They are in adverse possession of half of my father's former State, and I fail to understand why...
