POONCH, Apr 9: A young English lecturer and mother of two was this morning found "murdered" at her home in Khori Nar locality of the town here. She had injury marks on her face and neck. A rope and a wire were found lying near her body, according to police sources. Amandeep Kour (37), who was serving as English lecturer in government higher secondary school for boys, Poonch, was found lying dead in her room under mysterious circumstances in the morning, sources said. After the matter was brought to his notice, Poonch police station SHO Jatinder Singh Raina reached the spot and evacuated the body to the district hospital where post-mortem was conducted on it. It was later handed over to her family members for last rites. The SHO said her husband Jatinder Singh, who runs a shop in the town, was likely to be picked up for questioning. Police had registered a case under section 174 of CrPC in this connection and initiated inquest proceedings. |
