State BJP being re-organized with new faces Sat Sharma to replace Jugal Kishore | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 9: MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma is likely to replace the incumbent State BJP president Jugal Kishore Sharma as the party is all set to be re-organized in Jammu and Kashmir very soon. Besides the appointment of new State president, several young faces are likely to be given important assignments and positions in the organizational set up for rejuvenating the party, which seems caught in catch twenty-two situation after coming into power in alliance with PDP. According to the sources in BJP circles, the Sangh Parivar has given green signal for the appointment of Sat Sharma CA as the replacement of Jugal Kishore Sharma, who is being shown door before the completion of his tenure as the State president. The party high command and a section of Sangh Parivar are learnt to have conveyed its reservations over further continuation of Jugal Kishore as State president till completion of his tenure in November this year. Even as a few other senior leaders are aspirants for the post of State president, sources said that the RSS has given green signal for the name of Sat Sharma as the new BJP head owing to his closeness with all the sister concerns of Sangh Parivar, whose financial accounts are being maintained by him for the last more than ten years. The organizational reshuffle is all set to bring several young faces on important position in the party, sources said adding that a few from the Sangh Parivar are also being given important assignments in the BJP. Sources hint that the organizational reshuffle is likely to be affected soon as the party high command and Sangh Parivar are well apprised of the decreasing popularity of BJP among masses in its stronghold Jammu region. |
