Vijaypur, Apr 9 : Former Minister and JKPCC General Secretary Manjit Singh today appealed Government to pay compensation to the rainfall affected farmers whose crops have been damaged in Vijaypur. A delegation of farmers called on the former Minister Manjit Singh and apprised him about various problems due to which they lost their crops. After listening to their grievances, former minister said the administration and the government had turned deaf ears towards their problems. "The Government should pay compensation to the farmers who have lost their crops due to heavy rains, he said. He regretted that no official from the administration yet have visited to the affected areas to take stock of the damages suffered by the farmers. He threatened if the administration continues to neglect the poor people, the Congress would not hesitate take to roads to raise voice for the rights of the farmers in Vijaypur. |
