Burglars strike at pvt school, decamp with items worth Rs 1 lakh | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Apr 9 : Burglars after a gap of about one month again struck in a private school in Jawahar Nagar area in Rajouri city and decamped with valuable items and cash worth more than Rs 1 lakh. Sources in police said that the institution namely Happy Home Higher Secondary school is owned by one Yog Raj Bakshi and is situated in the vicinity of Rajouri police station at a distance of about 100 meters. After preliminary investigation by the Rajouri police and Forensic experts police claimed that the burglar/burglars had entered the principal's room after breaking the locks at about 12 midnight and immediately covered the CCTV camera and after that no recording was done. As per details collected by the police the burglars decamped with Rs15000 cash, one laptop, one digital camera, one LCD and at about 3 am left the room after breaking the camera in order to hide his/their identity. Police was informed by the principal namely Neelu Bakshi after she found the room broken and items missing. A team from Rajouri police station along with forensic experts rushed to the school and collected the samples. After performing legal formalities have started investigations. Pertinently in the month of March burglars had struck in the city thrice and had decamped with items, cash, gold reportedly worth more than Rs 30 lakh. Till today police have either failed to solve any burglary or to track the burglars. |
