Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 9: In order to improve the education system in Jammu a joint team of education department comprised of Director School Education Simrandeep Singh and Chief Education Officer (CEO), Jammu Davinder Kumar Sudan conducted surprise visit at various government schools in and outskirts of Jammu and exhorted teachers to strive for enhancing enrollment in respective schools. According to a official, the team led by DSE Jammu paid surprise visits to Badyal Brahmana Higher Boys Secondary School, Govt School at Channi Bija, Primary School near Garden Estate and RS Pura schools here today and took stock of situation like student teacher ration and the enrollment. "DSE and CEO exhorted teachers to conduct go door to door campaign to the nearby houses and to convince people to enroll their wards in the schools as per the pattern adopted by the private schools, he said, adding, "emphasis was also laid on the face lifting of the schools to get more enrollment." When contacted CEO Education Jammu said that efforts on the part of the education department was on to improve the standard of the education in government school. He added teachers were asked to enroll more students in the school as they can and keep the standard at peak for betterment of society. |
