Jammu, May 8: Central University of Jammu (CUJ) on Friday organized a prize distribution function, in which the winners of UDAAN-2015, were awarded.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Ashok Aima was the chief guest on the occasion, accompanied by senior faculty members. Speaking on the occasion VC advised the student community to participate in sport activities. "The Central University of Jammu has signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Central University of Kashmir and Central University of Himachal Pradesh", the VC said addressing the prize distribution session, adding the MoU was signed to make interuniversity interaction between faculty, scholars and students as well. The VC further said that the lecturer being delivered by teachers will be made available on line same day.
In the function prizes were distributed among 97 students and scholars who participated and won in various events. Rangoli, Poetry Recitation, Folk Group Song, Light Vocal Solo, Photography, On the Spot Painting, Collage, Mimicry and Fancy Dress competition was held during January 20 to 20. For sport meet 70 students and scholars were awarded, there were 17 events in the meet.
In the sport activities students participated in Chess (women), Chess (men), Shotput (women), Shotput (men), Volleyball (men), Table Tennis Single (men), Table Tennis double (men), Table Tennis single (women), Table Tennis Double (women) Carrom (women), Carrom (men), Badminton Single (women), Badminton Double (women), Badminton single (men), Badminton double (men) Basketball (men) and Basketball (women) winner and runner-up these matches were awarded. |
