J&K Bank opens ATM in Kishtwar, holds camps in Poonch

Srinagar, May 8: J&K Bank pressed one more ATM into public service at District Police Lines Hidyal in Kishtwar Jammu amid good gathering of valuable customers, senior citizens police officials and local residents.
Superintendent of Police Yugal Manhas inaugurated the ATM in presence of bank's Vice President and Cluster Head-II Jammu (North) Mushtaq Ahmed Khan.
Speaking on the occasion, Cluster Head said, "J&K Bank is committed to provide easy and hassle free credit facilities to the people of state. It is the 7th ATM from 18 Business Units operating in the district. More business units and ATMs for the district were in the pipeline and would be commissioned in the coming months."
Upholding the bank's motto of Serving-to-Empower, we are trying our best to serve people and contribute to the prosperity of the state. The installation of ATM at here will facilitate the police fraternity, local people as well as the commuters", he added.
Lauding the bank's the efforts, Mnahas said, "J&K Bank is making contribution to financial growth of the state even in remotest areas like Marwah, Dachan and Wadwan. Here it was long felt need of people and police fraternity to have ATM in this area."
He impressed upon the people to make full use of various schemes and facilities offered by the Bank.
Poonch Camps
The bank conducted awareness-cum-enrolment camps regarding launch of two insurance schemes namely Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Surekhsha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) in Poonch Main and Chandak.
These camps were organized by the Lead Bank Office and FLCC Poonch in collaboration with business units at Poonch and Chandak.
Speaking at the camp held in Government Degree College Poonch, wherein students participated along with teaching and non-teaching staff, Lead District Manager Poonch M Shafi Ayaz briefed the participants at about the aims and objectives of these social security schemes.
Facilitator FLCC Poonch Anmol Singh explained the salient features of these two insurance schemes to the audience in detail. Enrollment process for these schemes was initiated on spot registering a healthy response from the audience.
Another such camp was organized at village Chandak in which enrollment drive for these insurance related schemes also got good response from the participants.
