Jammu, May 8: A deputation of all communities met with SSP Traffic, Jammu under the presidentship of Som Raj Taroch and had a detailed discussion on the traffic arrangements in the Jammu city and its surrounding areas in general in view of forthcoming Amarnath Yatra.
SSP Traffic Mohan Lal apprised the deputation about the traffic arrangements being made in the city by the department and its future approach in view of the Amarnath Yatra. He admitted that department is facing difficulties in some of the congested pockets and sought cooperation from the deputation members to address the same.
He further sought cooperation from the public by obeying traffic rules on the roads by driving the vehicles in controlled speed, avoiding over loading, triple riding, obeying traffic signals, safety rules, use of crash helmets among other measures.
Som Raj Taroch and others accompanying him assured full cooperation to the Traffic Department so that the department gets free hand in managing the city traffic. Prominent among those who accompanied Taroch included Girdhari Lal Lakhnotra, Koushal Karotra, Rajinder Singh, Sardar Alok Singh, Rajesh Bajgal, Sanjay Kumar Lalotra, Darshan Taroch, Ashanand Sharma, Deepak Anand, Bhushan Verma, Dina Nath Dogra and others. |
