Jammu, May 8: Punjab National Bank (PNB) will launch the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) in Jammu on May 9.
According to press release, this was informed by B M Fazili, Deputy General Manager, PNB J&K Circle here today in a press conference regarding the launching of ambitious Social Security Schemes pertaining to the insurance and pension sector at pan-India level.
Fazili added that Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister in Prime Minister`s Office will launch these schemes in Jammu along with Bali Bagat, Minister for Social Welfare, Pawan Gupta, MoS Finance & IT, J&K State, Dr. Pawan Kotwal (IAS), Diviional Commissioner Jammu & D Sethy, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Jammu.
Fazili has urged the common people to take the benefit of these schemes and visit the nearest bank branch as these schemes are the path breaking initiative towards providing affordable universal access to essential social security protection in a convenient manner linked to auto-debit facility from the bank account of the subscriber. He further said that massive awareness drives had already been launched in the state so that people get benefitted.
