Bring papers on artificial lake into public arena | BJP to take Cong head on | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 17: The BJP has decided to take Congress head on. The party is contemplating to bring out all the papers in the public on the Tawi artificial lake and how the proposed plan was changed and also how the progress was stalled during the years, when Congress was in the government. The Congress is going all out to blame BJP for allegedly shelving all the prestigious projects of the Jammu. It has got more ammunition after the statement of the CM that Tawi project on creating artificial lake has been shelved as it is practically not feasible. "The CM said it after going through the feasibility report. The project was changed and that's reason it is technically not possible to create lake the point, where the project was re-designed. An influential Congress minister, who changed the design and also got the bridge constructed, was responsible for it. We will make public the original and the changed design before the public and then the Congress will have to do the explanation," said a senior BJP minister, wishing not to be named. The BJP according to the reports has discussed the issue with the party high command which has asked its state unit to go all out against the Congress with all the facts. "It's common perception and well established fact that there was corruption on large scale by the Congress minister. The party decided to go against opening old files as it would have send the message that BJP is indulging witch-hunting. But, now that Congress is blaming us for all the wrong doing it has done and it can't be accepted no longer," said the Congress minister. The BJP believes that Congress is now deliberately using the ploy of bringing pro-Pakistan tag to the BJP, with an objective to further undermine the party. "The Congress said Tawi project was stalled at the insistence of the Pakistan, It implied that BJP is succumbing under Pakistan pressure as it is also partying with the PDP led Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. This is going too far. The Congress fears that if the BJP is able to bring about change in the Kashmir, it will undo all the carefully planned propaganda of The Congress that BJP is anti-Kashmir implying that BJP is anti-Muslim. Now we will expose that too," said the minister. |
