Jammu, May 17:In the interest of the Bharat Nagar residents a general body meeting
of all the sectors of Bharat Nagar Talab Tillo Jammu was held today in KNIT under the chairmanship of Prof J.L Kotwal Ex President Bharat
Nagar Welfare Association. Since the association was not functioning properly and necessity to rejuvenate the association was felt. A gathering of about 200 residents participated in the meeting and the following members were elected unanimously by voice vote. General Secretary and Rajinder Khajuria Financial Advisor. Representation was given to active members of each sector with the advice that they will form the Mohalla Committees. In the meeting various issues were highlighted by the members like widening of link road from Kamla Palace (Pencil Factory) to Poonch House, drainage, unavailability of medical aid, setting of park for children to play, water, electricity etc. and installation of banner to bar the entry of heavy vehicles on this Kamla Palace Poonch House link road. In order to make it affective an advisory committee consisting of advisors Prof Jia Lal Kotwal, Sh. Surjit Chopra, Dr M.L Sharma, Bharat Bushan and S.I Koul was elected.
