Jammu, May 17: The Institution of Engineers (India), Jammu local centre celebrated "World Telecommunication and Information Society Day at Institutional Complex, Sector-3, Channi Himmat, Jammu by holding a Seminar on theme topic "Telecommunications and ICTs: Drivers of Innovation". The Seminar was attended by a large number of engineers from various departments and organizations.
The seminar was chaired by Atul Sharma, ITS, General Manager, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Jammu and presided over by Er. Hem Chander Jerath, FIE; Chairman of The Institution of Engineers (India), Jammu Local Centre.
Five papers on the theme topic were presented by Er. SC Thukral, FIE; Er. BL Rawal, MIE; Er. Supinder Jeet Singh, AMIE, Er. Rajesh Kumar Angural & Er. Parul Sharma. The speakers deliberated at length on the theme topic and informed the house that Indian telecommunication network is the 2nd largest in the world based on total number of telephone users. |
