Plus 2 lecturers seek regularization | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, May 17: 10+2 contractual lecturers today sought regularization of their services under 2010 Act. Seeking relief on humanitarian consideration, scores of 10+2 contractual lectures from different districts of J&K accentuated their long pending demands and said that they are serving in Government Higher Secondary schools since last several years on contractual basis. Fayyaz Ahmed Mir, contractual lecturer of environmental sciences in Kishtwar said that he has been serving in the Education Department for last nine years, but till date he has not been regularized. He said that the successive governments had promised resolution to their demands, but till date no government delivered its promises of regularizing contractual 10+2 lecturers. They lecturers lamented that the last coalition government regularized thousands of adhoc and contractual employees under JK Civil Services (special provision) 2010 Act, but they have been ignored. They also demanded to increase the remuneration of contractual lecturers as they are working for just Rs 7000 in the far flung schools including Marwah, Warwan, Dacchan, Chatroo and Padder. |
