Kishtwar September 9: The parents of the students who are waiting since last nearly one month for admission of their children in BA, B.Sc & B.Com Part 2 classes of Degree College Kishtwar accused Jammu University authorities of delaying their admission in various colleges of Jammu province falling in winter zone. The results of various course of Part 1 were declared nearly four weeks ago. While talking to “Early Times” the angry parents said that it is very strange and unfortunate on part of the Jammu University authorities that the notification for admission in BA, B.Sc & B.Com part 2 in the colleges of winter session of Jammu Division including Degree College Kishtwar is awaited till date inspite of declaration of Part 1 result was declared on 14th of August 2015.
They said that the students studying in these colleges had already suffered as Jammu University officials took three and half months for preparing and declaring the result of Part 1 for which the examinations were held in the month of April 2015.
“Jammu University bends the rules and regulations according to their own will and whips that suit and favour their officials without taking the sufferings of the students into consideration” said angry parents, added that the academic session is almost at its peak and only couple of months were left in current academic session for completion of the prescribed syllabus.
“ The unwarranted act of Jammu University resulted in frustration for both the students and their parents and any further delay on part of the concerned authorities is detrimental to the future of their children,” said parents.
They demanded appropriate measures to end the stilted position so that the students may not suffer any more on account of the Jammu University fault.
When contacted Principal Degree College Kishtwar Dr. Aftab said that the matter pertains to the issuance of notification by the Jammu University, added that as and when Jammu University issues notification for admission in Part 2 classes, the college management will start admitting the students without any delay.
Despite repeated attempt, registrar Jammu University Professor Keshav Sharma did not respond. |
