JAMMU, Oct 10 : The combined side of Post Graduate (PG) Arts made it a hat trick in the inter-college football tournament of University of Jammu, organised by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, on the campus grounds, here. The PG Arts registered third consecutive win to create a record. In today's final, PG Arts trounced fighting Government SPMR College of Commerce by a solitary goal. The all important goal came through Achal Sharma, who netted the ball in the 47th minute of the match. The important title clash was officiated by the technical penal comprising Suresh Gupta, Taranpal Singh and Nileshwar Singh under the supervision of event incharge and football coach of JU, Gagan Kumar. In the final, former Director Sports and Physical Education, JU, BK Magotra was chief guest, who gave away the running trophy. He was accompanied by Director Sports, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau. Prominent among others present were Azaj Malik, Amit Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Ravish Vaid, Vikas Karlopia, Romesh Sharma, Dr Brij Baloria. |
