POONCH, Oct 10: Taking shelter and resorting to all types of unfair means, Chief medical Officer Poonch, Dr Mumtaz Bhatti is exerting pressure on all the concerned officials of his department to hush up scam, recently unearthed in the selection of paramedical staff under National Health Mission.
Sources told Early Times that CMO Poonch Dr Mumtaz got frustrated, ever since the scam in the selection process of paramedical staff under National Health Mission has come in the public domain, and CMO, in fit of desperation, pressurizing this subordinates to hush up the matter by hook or by crook.
"Dr Bhatti is constantly exerting pressure on all Block Medical Officers including BMO Mendhar, BMO Surankote, BMO Mandi for saving him from the scam and dictating them to oblige him on all unfair deeds," they alleged.
Interestingly, this wealthy CMO uses his own luxurious car whose market value is nearly Rs 20 to Rs 30 lakhs for official use despite having the official vehicle, and withdraw fuel charges from the department for his car, they alleged. The intensity of panic in the mind of CMO Poonch can be gauged from the fact that he is trying for the negotiation through his touts for suppressing the matter as soon as the scams committed by the CMO Poonch are getting revealed.
Shockingly, despite the revelation of the scam in the selection process of paramedical staff, the officials at the helm of affairs have become mute spectators and even hesitating to initiate inquiry against the erring official. |
