Jammu, Oct 10: Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is learnt to have rebuked a senior police officer for showing laxity in security on the national highway, leading to a petrol bomb attack on a truck at Udhampur.
Three persons, including a policeman, received burn injuries in the incident. Official sources informed that the Mufti, who felt aghast on the working of police in Jammu province, served a warning to a senior cop for the occurrence of such incidents which leads to communal tension.
Pertinently, the chief minister had Thursday last said that the J&K police had lost focus on crime related cases in the state while replying to a calling attention notice of NC's Ali Muhammad Sagar on the course of action in Khanyar domestic violence case. |
