PMO seeks stern action against rumor mongers | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 10: The PMO has directed the State Government to take strict action against people indulging in spreading rumors about cow slaughtering. The PMO has directed that people induldging in such activities be also exposed publicly. "The PMO has taken a very serious note on the developments in the State, notably in the Jammu region, where incidents of alleged cow slaughtering happen but postmortem reports revealed that these were far from the truth," said the sources. The PMO, practically on the directions of the PM, had asked the State Government to identify the people behind such rumors and get them arrested under relevant sections. It seems that there is a pattern to these incidents which also seem to be suggesting that they are aimed at discreding the BJP as cow slaughter is an emotive issue. Some forces are trying to communalise the situation with an eye on votes and these are forces which have been defeated and are not able to digest their defeat," said the sources. The PM has not been briefed about the developments and he has taken a serious note of it, The sources said the PM has also communicated to the J&K CM that BJP will not like to allow that some forces are trying the break the BJP Government in the J&K on basis of rumors and mischievous designs. "The PM has made it clear to the Mufti Sayeed that BJP will not allow the situation to a point that its forced to come out of the Government on some alleged rumors. The BJP is committed to the development and also communal harmony. And the CM, who holds the Home Ministry, should ensure that petty elements are not only checked but strict action is taken against them, said the sources. |
