| Safai Karamcharis stage protest, demand apology from ADC Udh | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Oct 15: The Safai Karamcharis under the banner of Safai Karamchari Union observed a pen down strike outside the office of Municipal Corporation Udhampur (MCU) against Additional Deputy Commissioner Angrej Singh Rana whom they alleged has used unusual word 'sweeper' for a community during a press conference and demanded apology from the concerned officer.
Protestors led by President Safai Karamchari Union Papu and its secretary David assembled at protest venue and staged their protest. Speakers said that few day before an educated officer Adl DC Angrej Singh Rana use unusual word 'sweeper' during a press conference.
They said that according to the law of land no one can use such types of word to mention a community. They also said if the Adl DC Udhampur doesn't apologize they will continue their stir.
Meantime Adl DC Angrej Singh Rana while talking to media persons denied allegation and said that, he had not used such type of word during the press conference on the other day. "And if even if I uttered it might be merely slip of tongue but not intentional, he said, adding, "in that case I am extremely sorry for the mistake for hurting sentiments of these people unintentionally. |
