Early Times Report
jammu, Oct 15: Confrontationist attitude being adopted by Vice Chancellor of Jammu University, Prof R D Sharma against RSS and its student wing ABVP has exposed ugly infight in the "disciplined" BJP because atrocities were committed on ABVP workers by the University authorities on the direction of a BJP stalwart.
Credible sources revealed that a BJP stalwart is behind the scene of whole episode. This stalwart is trying to capture all important institutions of Jammu region so he has started showing his authority to those who are at the helm of the affairs in these institutions. "This BJP stalwart has already developed his clout on all the higher educational institutions in Jammu region and he has decided not to allow any other leader or organisations to influence head of institutions of these educational institutions", sources said and added that this leader has directed head of these institutions not to take any decision without informing him.
The said leader, sources said, has asked heads of some of the higher institutions of the education to ignore local RSS and ABVP leaders. It was all due to the direction of this BJP stalwart that head of the institutions of most the educational institutions are not giving any importance to RSS and ABVP leaders or workers. "During the last couple of months, this BJP stalwart has managed adjustment of some of his closed relatives and friends in higher educational institutions", sources said and added that by using his clout this BJP stalwart has adjusted relative of one of the BJP top gun in a higher educational institution to use his name to further tighten his grip on these institutions.
Credible sources said that Vice Chancellor of Jammu University was earlier not very adamant to grant permission to ABVP to hold convention in the campus but the said leader asked the Vice Chancellor to take a tough stand to teach these organisations a lesson. The said leader assured the Vice Chancellor that he would convince BJP central leadership so there was no need to be worried about using force against ABVP workers in-case the workers would restore to any violence.
