Early Times Report jammu, Oct 15: A politician, who in the recent past was elected as a member of the Legislative Council (MLC), allegedly "forced" the state police headquarters (PHQ) to allot him a PSO (personal security officer) of his choice. PSOs were allotted to him soon after he became MLC for his security. However, he was not happy with them, according to police sources. The MLC then called on a senior police officer, requesting him to allot him a PSO of his choice. He also proposed the name of his relative constable who was posted in armed wing in Kashmir. There was, however, delay in the allotment of the choice PSO to the MLC. Sources said when he threatened to surrender all his PSOs, the PHQ promptly ordered the posting of the cop with the MLC as his PSO. The cop had now joined as the MLC's PSO, sources said. |
