| JYF flays VC for well-knit drama in JU Campus | | | Early Times Reports
Jammu, Oct 15: The Jammu Youth Forum (JYF) has flayed the Vice Chancellor of Jammu University for not taking action against the activists of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) who stormed into the campus despite closure of the University announced by the authorities fearing backlash. While holding protest and raising slogans against the Vice Chancellor, JYF President Mohd Akram Ahmed said if the JU administration had announced its closure apprehending law and order problem at the hands of ABVP activists, then they should have asked police to arrest the ABVP activists who stormed and thronged into the campus. He further alleged that Jammu University has now become a fiefdom of ABVP while the Vice Chancellor is abetting them as he has got the chair with the blessings of ABVP big-wigs and causing hardships to the genuine students. The JYF demanded immediate sacking of the VC and stern action against the ABVP activists who are vitiating the atmosphere of the campus. JYF alleged that the whole drama was pre-planned as the VC has clandestine understanding with the ABVP and denying them permission to hold event was just an eye-wash to hoodwink larger community of students who had to suffer badly for the cowardly functioning style of VC announcing closure of JU .They demanded high level probe to expose the nexus of VC ,few professors and officials who are hell bent to destroy the institution and its academic graph which is going down fast in the lowest ebb, Ahmed added. |
