| MVD organizes road safety awareness programme | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, Oct 15: As part of the ongoing Road Safety Awareness drive among school students the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) held an awareness camp at KP Higher Secondary School near district Court Complex Samba to educate the students about the importance of the observing of traffic and road safety rules.
Deputy Commissioner Samba Sheetal Nanda was Chief Guest on this Occasion while ASP Samba Faisal Qureshi was guest of honour. Films on road safety rules were shown to the students highlighting the need for responsible conduct while using school buses. A power point presentation was also shown in which students were made aware of the different kind of safety measures to be adopted. This campaign was also started in all schools and Colleges for awareness among students. The programme was attended by the Principal of the School Varinder Slathia, ARTO Samba Kuldeep Singh and Madan Lal Motor Vehicle Inspector of the Department, Children and staff members of the School also participated in the road safety awareness programme. DC emphasized on the adherence to importance of the Road Safety Awareness. She called upon the students to exercise caution while boarding / de-boarding buses so that any untoward incident can be minimized. |
