Sikhs Organisations condemn police action in Punjab | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 15: State Gurdwara Prabandak Board J&K , District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Jammu and Representatives of various Sikh Organization condemned the sacrilegious act Anti-social, Anti-panthic and Criminal Elements at Moga (Faridkot) in Punjab which has deeply hurt the sentiments of sikh community all over the world. Addressing media persons, Spokesman of Sikhs organizations said Sikhs cannot tolerate any form of disrespect of our living Guru Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. They urge both state and Central Govt, to identify the criminal elements and take stern action against them as they are the worst enemies of the humanity and are out of vitiate the atmosphere of brotherhood in the country. Any inaction by the authorities at this juncture may also prove their complicity. We also warn such cowards to desist from such acts and should read the history if they have any doubts in their sick minds. They condemned the brutal police action on peaceful protestors at Kotakpura yesterday in which two precious lives have been lost and warn the Punjab Government that such actions by the state may prove counter-productive and also emboldening enemies of sikh panth. They demand stern action against the erring poffee officials and urge the Punjab Government to register cases of Murder (Attempt to murder) against the guilty police officers. The judicial enquiry ordered by the Punjab Govt, should be time bound which should not merely be an eyewash, like numerous previous such enquiry commissions. |
