Jammu, Oct 15 : On the opening day of 24th Mini-National Volleyball championship, Boys team of Jammu and Kashmir defeated Telangana by 3-1 sets, score 19-25, 25-13, 25-23 and 25-22 at Bangalore in Karnataka. The Mini-National Championship organised by Karnataka State Volleyball Association was declared open in a colourful ceremony today. In all 22 teams in boys section from different States of India are participating in the championship. J&K team is placed in Pool-B and will play next matches against Haryana, Karnataka and Uttarakhand. In the opening match against Telangana, J&K Team players namely Rajeshwar Kumar from Hiranagar and Gurmeet Kumar & Rohit Singh from Pallanwala displayed their magnificent skills and dominated the proceedings to achieve victory. The team is being accompanied by coach Puran Singh and Manager Subash Kumar Shastri. President Volleyball Association of J&K Sidharth Daluja sending good wishes to J&K State Mini Volleyball team, Manager and Coach for excellent performance. |
