Jammu, Oct 15 : An industrial visit was organised for Mechanical Engineering students of semester 3rd of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET). The students visited Kashmir Rolling Mills, Gangyal industrial area Jammu. In Kashmir Rolling Mills, the students interacted with Mr. Raghuwinder Singh who briefed the budding technocrats on different facets of the plant encompassing production and maintenance procedures, Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), the overall functioning of the plant. The students were also taken to different units of the plant and were shown different methodologies being used in the entire process of manufacturing in real time.
The industrial visit provided a platform to experience firsthand information regarding manufacturing process. The industrial visit also afforded tremendous exposure to budding engineers in terms of industry interaction with company personnel.
The students were accompanied by AK Kaul,TPO, Er. Vishal Sharma Asstt. Prof , and Anil Gupta of Mechanical Engineering department. |
