| Nav Adarsh School Kathua organizes inter-house quiz contest | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, Oct 15: In order to bring about all round development of the students, the Nav Adarsh Higher Secondary School Kathua organized an inter-house quiz contest.
Director Baba Farid College of Education Prof Ram Murti Sharma was the chief guest whereas retired Superintendent of Police Sardar Khan presided over the event.
The programme started with lightening of traditional lamp followed by Saraswti Vandana. Teams of four houses namely Brain Toddlers, Marvelous Minds, Mystical Nimbles and Intellectualists took part in the contest. Each team was comprised of four participants. The contest comprised of three rounds. 1st round was of multiple choice questions based upon all academic subjects as well as sports, current affairs and general awareness. 2nd round was a rapid fire round in which one participant of each team had to answer maximum number of questions in a stipulated time of 30 seconds. Round 3 was a puzzle round.
Intellectualists house clinched the 1st spot while there was a tie between Marvellous Minds and Brain Toddlers for the 2nd position. Mystical Nimbles stood 3rd.
A play based on the theme 'Beti Bachaao Beti Padhaao' was also presented by the students of class 12thand pre-primary wing. The play beautifully depicted the orthodox approach of the society for the females. |
