YCET conducts industrial visit cum educational tour

Jammu, Oct 19 : A two day industrial visit cum educational tour for students of Electrical Engg (Sem 5th) was organized by Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) on Oct 16-17, 2015 .
According to press release, students visited Baglihar Hydro Electric Power Project at Chandrakote which is nestled among picturesque Trikuta Hills .
The students were first taken to the Baghliar Dam which serves as huge reservoir for Chenab water at Project Site followed by the production as well as the state- of- the- art control room where round the clock monitoring is maintained.
The students had intense interaction with Er. Sanjiv Singh, Er Vikram Vaid from PDC and Er Vijay Kr Gupta, Er Kuldip Gupta from JP Group. Wahid from PDC was the resource person. The inquisitive students were briefed on different facets of the 450 MW Hydro-electric project covering phase I each having three turbines of 150 MW capacity which caters to electric supply across J&K.
Post industrial visit, the students were taken to some of the breathtaking sightseeing places in the vicinity and enroute chiefly being Patnitop ,Samroli and Jajjar Kotli where they shared great camaraderie and enjoyed dance and fun activities.
The students were accompanied by Er. Dinesh Gupta, COD, Electrical Engg Deptt, Er. Rupali Dalpatia, Astt. Prof, Er. Harneet Kour,and Mr A.K.Kaul, TPO.
