G S Asgotra Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 19: Influential people from Morhgarh and Deon Panchayats are desperate for RBA certificates. It has come to notice that after getting Reserved Backward Areas (RBA) status, the powerful people in the aforementioned panchayats who left their native areas long ago have been seeking the vital document. It was further learnt that an elected representative, also a committee member of RBA, constituted by both the Panchayats, Deon and Morhgarh to scrutinize the applications, found that people who had left the areas around thirty years ago had returned to seek the certificates. These people were busy smaking ration cards and other documents to support their claim for the certificate. Villages falling under RBA are Balsaroo, Godhan, Kadyal, Lathari, Mawa, Brahmina, Majoor, Sandal and Sumah of tehsil Akhnoor and district Jammu, Dragu, Tehsil Bhaderwah district Doda, Pamrote and Fazalabad of tehsil Surankote and Gursai of tehsil Mendhar district Poonch, Lower Bhatian of tehsil Thannamandi, Dehri Ralyote of tehsil Rajouri, hamlet Charung of village Hasplote, Hasyote, Rajdhani, Saim Sammat, Dodason Payeen, hamlet Ghaikhakha of village Dodasan and hamlet Remote of village Dodasan Balla of tehsil Thannamandi district Rajouri, Audsoo, Ganoora and Lalan of tehsil Anantnag, Odina of tehsil Sonawari district Bandipora, Sehpora tehsil Anantnag, Watalbagh tehsil Ganderbal, Khanpoora and Sheikhzoo of tehsil Lar district Ganderbal. "The villages of Samba district which got RBA status are Rajool, Kummi, Partyal, Padal, Deon, Mohargarh, Talhar, Kathar-Brahmana and Dhergarh". |
